Well, I’m 30 years older, a bit wiser, and happily married to love of my life, three grown kids, and seven beautiful granddaughters and still very passionate about our Clients and their Families.
Our journey has been all about trust. When I started in 1992 our industry was just in its early years. It has changed over time to better serve client’s best interest. Our goal has always been to do what is in our client’s best interest … full stop. When my father, Gerald Baines, gave me the list of his accounting clients to market investment and insurance products, it came with a warning … do not mess with my clients, or … If you knew my father, you would know the consequences would be severe and long lasting.
In a blink of an eye, 30 years have passed, and we are still standing strong, proud, and humbled by the loyalty of our clients. In looking back, we had just come out of an eight-month recession in March 1991, the next one 10 years later in 2001 was the tech bubble, lasting another eight months, the 2008 mortgage crisis and then in February 2020 one of the shortest recessions lasting a mere two months. Most of us have been around to witness one or more and we will no doubt see them again.
Together we moved past challenges in the market, with great relationships being forged. I thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family’s lives. The bottom line is through your trust and dedication to our investment philosophy we all lived through these financial crises and have prospered because of TRUST. Trust in ourselves, trust in our families and trust in us. We thank you for that trust and it will not be “messed with”!
As we look ahead, business plans are in place to ensure that our commitment to you is carried on well beyond the next 30 years. We thank you for the opportunity to be of service and we will continue to work in your family’s best interest and be there in good and bad times.
Thank you for answering my phone calls, replying to my emails, and letting me into your homes with open arms and for the trust you have placed in me to manage and protect your family wealth.
