Cybersecurity Incident With One of Mackenzie Investments' Third Party Vendors
Finances with Kirk NewsletterAs we move into spring planting season, we hope you stay safe and mindful of best practices on and off the equipment and tools you use!
This month, we were informed of a cybersecurity breach with one of Mackenzie Investments' third party vendors. Although it has been deemed to be a “low risk incident”, both Mackenzie Investments and Allied Financial are taking this very seriously.
We sent an email to all affected clients advising them of the letter coming from Mackenzie and if you are one of them, we hope you have received the letter by now. In setting up the protections being supplied by Mackenzie, they have run into issues with registering your membership with My True Identity. They hope to have a better path for you to take and we should be able to update you shortly.
In the meantime, you are covered and have until August 31st to register. If you do see unusual activity on your side, please contact us directly and we will address this with you, through Mackenzie Investments.
Doing my own research on cyber security I came across an interesting Video on Apple I-Phone with details which could help you secure your Apple I phone.
